Learn how to grow your own food. Be guided through the basics including soil and plant nutrition, pest control, traditional and no-dig veggie patches, and easy grow herbs and veggies to ensure first time success. We will emphasise low or no-cost organic methods and discuss growing in pots for renters and people with courtyards or balconies.

Buckets of plums to give away are a beautiful thing, but knowing how to preserve fruit for a cold winter's day is even better! In this session, you will explore Kat Lavers' award-winning permaculture kitchen garden and the walk-in pantry she uses to store preserves throughout the year. She'll discuss tips and tricks for preserving with a focus on fruit.
